With a modern plant featuring advanced and environmentally friendly technology, since its commissioning, Mong Duong I Thermal Power Plant has contributed to national energy security and industrialization. Mong Duong I is the first EVN thermal power plant to utilize circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boiler technology. This is currently the most advanced technology in the world, particularly in flue gas treatment, ensuring environmental friendliness.

Additionally, Mong Duong I Thermal Power Plant is equipped with an automated emission monitoring system. The monitoring process is conducted regularly, adhering to approved environmental impact assessment reports. As a result, these systems have been operating continuously, safely, and reliably, with all environmental monitoring parameters meeting Vietnam’s environmental standards (QCVN 22:2009) issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources & Environment.
